Welcome to Redeeming Grace Church, a new church in Alton, IL.  We are a Christ-centered, non-denominational church, a body of believers saved by the sovereign grace of God.  We come together to joyously worship our God and Savior who gave Himself for us, to reverantly and intently listen to and obey His Word as it is preached, and to live lives for His glory alone.

We desire to bring glory to God through the preaching of His Word in an expository manner, heralding the gospel of free grace in Jesus Christ for salvation, declaring that all men must repent and turn to Jesus alone to be rescued from the wrath of God, and discipling God's people to walk holy and godly in this world while reaching the lost with the gospel.  While non-denominational, we are closely connected with several like-minded bodies of believers.

To learn more about our beliefs, our Mission and Vision Statements and Core Values, hover over the "About Us" tab at the top of any page and there will be a drop-down menu with several helpful selections.

At Redeeming Grace Church, we gather to meet with the God the Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit.  Therefore, our meetings are reverant as well as filled with expressions of the joy we have in Jesus Christ who "loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood (Revelation 1:5).  The Word of God is preached with seriousness, power, and desire for God to be glorified and the saints encouraged and fed.  We desire also for any without Christ to find salvation in Jesus Christ through the preaching of God's Word.  We sing hymns and spiritual songs with great joy.  We are careful to use hymns and spiritual songs that are true to Scripture and doctrinally sound.  We also have time of mutual encouragement and prayer, we encourage participation by all true believers.  We also enjoy time of fellowship with one another.  Our meetings are not rushed.  We encourage casual attire by all.  You will not be entertained at Redeeming Grace Church, but we trust that you will sense the presence, power and love of God as we meet with HIm and as He "rejoices over us with shouts of joy" (Zephaniah 3:17)!

At Redeeming Grace Church, we desire to preach, teach and disciple the body of Christ in such way that they will be equipped to live daily in joy, obedience and love for the Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit.  The Scriptures give us everything necessary for life and godliness (II Peter 1:2-11).  The Scriptures are God's means to equip His saints for every good work (II Timothy 3:16,17).  We want to train and equip the body at RGC with the Scriptural understanding and knowledge that will help them to stand up against the onslaught of a godless culture, to be able to share Christ effectively and answer questions from unbelievers, to lead their families, and to see God raise up men who will be solid Shepherds of His church.

Evangelism is the spreading of the "evangel", the good news or gospel of Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the gospel, the good news published in the Scriptures as God's one means by which to pay for the sins of all who turn to Jesus Christ for salvation.

At Redeeming Grace Church, evangelism is a joy and a duty.  We are reminded weekly of the loving and gracious work that Jesus accomplished for us on the cross.  He died for our sins according to the scriptures (I Corinthians 15:3,4).  All true believers can say that "Jesus gave Himself for our sins (Galatians 1:4) and  "Jesus loved me and gave Himself up for me" (Galatians 2:20).

We share the gospel in one-on-one conversations, in open air preaching in passing out gospel tracts, campus preaching, talking with Jr. High students on their way to school, holding up gospel signs at intersections, and going to different events where we have ample opportunity to strike up conversations with those without Jesus Christ.

The reality is, a person without Jesus Christ is on their way to an eternal hell.  They are rebels against God, His enemies.  Their only hope is to turn in faith to Jesus Christ and call upon Him to save them (Romans 10:9-13).  Salvation is all of God's grace.  Man is unable to earn salvation (Ephesians 2:1-10).  Salvation is a gift from God, "for the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
